Jeffrey Ryan at World New Music Days
Jeff will be one of a handful of composers representing Canada at the ISCM's World New Music Days festival in Sydney, Australia. Burn will receive its Australian premiere by Ensemble Offspring in Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium. This concert available for webstreaming on the ABC Radio site here. Jeff was also featured in a live interview on ABC Radio May 1.
Jeffrey Ryan in residence with Hamilton Philharmonic
Jeff will be in residence with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra March 3-6, 2010 in conjunction with the HPO's performance of Equilateral with the Gryphon Trio and music director James Sommerville. Sponsored in part by the SOCAN Foundation.
Western Canadian Music Award nomination
Jeff's String Quartet #3 (sonata distorta) was nominated for a 2009 Western Canadian Music Award in the Classical Composition of the Year category. String Quartet #3 (sonata distorta) is recorded on the Penderecki String Quartet's CD Launch Pad.
